TOP 5: Best Electric Skateboard 2019

We've said it before and will say it again: humanity is living in the golden age of rideable technology right now. Over the past few years, electric motors have become smaller and more powerful, while batteries have become more power dense and accessible two trends that have coalesced and kicked off a renaissance in personal transportation devices. Before we get started with our video detailing the best electric skateboards on the market, we have included links in the description for each product mentioned, so make sure you check those out to see which one is in your budget range. Starting off with the best overall electric skateboard we have the INBOARD M1. Electric skateboards have been getting better and better over the last couple years, but for some reason, most of them still suffer from the same big drawbacks: they're cumbersome to carry around, and practically impossible to ride like a normal skateboard when the battery dies. But the Inboard M1 is different. Inboard designed this beast from the ground up to address all the pain points that come with other electric boards, and after whipping it around the convention center parking lot at CES, I'm here to tell you that they absolutely nailed it.

This board blows every other electric skateboard out of the water. A myriad of features separate the M1 from the rest of the pack, but the secret sauce is really in the wheels. Instead of using a belt-drive or gear system like you'll find on every other electric skate, Inboards M1 is equipped with two hub motors built directly into the rear wheels. This configuration not only makes the board more quick and responsive; it also allows the wheels to spin freely when the motors aren't engaged so even when the battery dies, you're still free to push, slide, and bomb down hills just like you would on a regular longboard.

The battery system is also pretty brilliant. Rather than following the crowd and using a fixed rechargeable battery, Inboard built the M1 with an interchangeable power system wherein the batteries can be swapped. This means that when you inevitably run out of juice, you don't have to plug this board in and wait around for it to recharge before you can just pull your spare battery out, pop it into the deck, and keep riding.

Inboard made some really smart design choices here, and they all come together to provide one of the most enjoyable riding experiences I've ever had on an electric board. The M1 feels fantastic under your feet. When you let off the throttle, the board just coasts along there's no belt-induced resistance to give you that unintentional brake effect. This, along with the boards relatively low weight, makes the ride feel drastically more fluid and free than other electric skateboards I've tried. If you're in the market for an electric skateboard, this one should definitely be on your radar. You'll need to dish out $1,400 to get your hands on one, which is definitely not a small amount of money but in my opinion the unparalleled riding experience justifies the high price tag.

Inboard is currently finishing up production and expects to start shipping the boards to customers in the next few months, so keep an eye out for the M1 sometime around May. Next up we have the best commuter skateboard which goes to the Boosted Mini S. Boosted makes some of the best electric longboards in the biz, and the Mini is no exception. Despite the fact that it doesn't boast quite as much battery life as its larger siblings, it makes up for that shortcoming with a myriad of awesome features. Our favorite? The deck. Its got this lovely radial concave shape that provides a comfortable yet responsive platform for you to stand on, and this time Boosted even gave it a kicktail. This makes it much easier to whip the board around and perform tight turns when necessary. The Minis deck is also considerably shorter than that of previous Boosted boards, so it's super easy to pick up and take on a bus/train/whatever. This board also comes with Boosteds top-notch control system and therefore provides extremely smooth acceleration/deceleration while you ride.

On cheaper boards, acceleration and braking are either to fast and jarring, or too mellow and sluggish but Boosted boards strike a perfect balance. The Mini feels powerful yet controlled under your feet, allowing you to ride confidently no matter what your skill level. This board is absolutely ideal for commuters. Up next we have the most powerful skateboard which goes to the ACTON BLINK QU4TRO. On paper, the Quatro is a beast. This monstrosity of a skateboard carries four hub motors (one in each wheel) that collectively provide 2,000 watts of power, and propel the board along at speeds up to 23 miles per hour. It also has insane amounts of torque enough to push a car on flat ground, or propel a 165 pound rider over a hill with a 30-percent grade.

Think San Francisco steep. On top of that, it's also equipped with a massive battery that fills up most of the boards 39-in deck and provides over 22 miles of range on a single charge. To hold all that matters, the board is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and feels extremely sturdy as a result. You'll also notice a handful of little flourishes that don't come standard on most electric longboards things like lights around all four sides, and an innovative suspension system built into the trucks. Its easily one of the most feature-packed boards we've ever stood on.

The Quatros burly four-wheel drive system and outrageous amounts of speed and torque are arguably the board's biggest selling points, but they're really just the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot going on behind the scenes that gives the Quatro an extremely polished underfoot feel. First and foremost, there's the motors. Unlike some other boards on the market, the Quatro sports a set of hub motors, meaning the motors live inside the wheel and don't need to be attached via a belt or chain.

This essentially means that the Quatros wheels roll with less resistance when they're unpowered, allowing you to coast freely when you let off the throttle, and also push the board manually if necessary. Unfortunately, the Quatros massive weight (24 pounds) means its a bit of a chore to push even with the low-friction drive mechanism, but to be fair, the board has such a ridiculously long range that you'll rarely need to kick it manually. In addition to the boards fantastic coasting abilities, the throttle is exquisitely well-tuned. Both acceleration and deceleration are incredibly smooth and actuated in a gradual manner that doesn't throw you off balance even if you're quick and heavy on the throttle.

It's definitely still possible to accelerate or decelerate too hard and send yourself flying onto the pavement (especially in Pro mode), but Actons throttle and brakes are far less touchy compared to most other boards we've ridden. Next we have the best designed electric skateboard which goes to the OneWheel Plus. We checked out the original Onewheel a few years back, and more recently got a chance to rip the new-and-improved version around PDX and although it isn't what you'd typically consider a traditional skateboard, its still one of our favorite rideable gizmos of all time. To be perfectly honest, the only reason we didn't give it our top spot as the best overall electric skateboard is because its not really a skateboard.

In addition to bearing little resemblance to a traditional skate, it also feels completely different under your feet. The ride is more like a strange blend of snowboarding, wakeboarding, and skateboarding and once you get the hang of it, its nothing short of addicting. The best part is that its pretty much all-terrain. The big go-kart wheel between your feet allows you to tromp over just about anything gravel driveways, small potholes, and even muddy patches of grass. This makes the Onewheel far more free and dynamic than a traditional longboard. You don't necessarily have to stick to sidewalks and streets. When the going gets tough and you find yourself on a patch of dirt or gravel, you can just bend your knees and blast through. This is the rideable device to get! Up next we have the best budget board which goes to the ACTON BLINK LITE V2. While frequent skaters may prefer to invest in a premium electric skateboard, folks who use their board less often or primarily on the weekends may want to start with a budget option. The Blink Lite, for example, is a lot less expensive than many of the others on this list which is perfect for someone looking for a more casual way to get around town.

Weighing just pounds, this sucker is one of the lightest electric skateboards on the market right now. Its maximum power output is just over half of the larger Blink S2 board, but its range is just miles short, standing at 5 miles. One of the neater features is actually off the board Acton allows its Blink Board users to connect to the Acton app to log miles, record routes, and document adventures. You can even participate in challenges against other riders. Just don't expect to rip this little guy up any big hills. It just doesn't have the oomph to make it happen! And for our last pick we have the smoothest ride electric skateboard, which goes to the Boosted 2 Dual plus.

In addition to Boosteds fantastic handheld throttle mechanism, the board's motors are exquisitely well-tuned so much so that we dare say they offer the smoothest acceleration and deceleration of any electric board we've ever ridden. On most boards, you'll experience a bit of a jarring effect when you hit the throttle or brakes, no matter how hard or soft you try to accelerate. This is especially pronounced when starting from a dead stop. More often than not, the average board will speed up too quickly for your muscles to adjust, thereby throwing you off balance but we experienced no such effect with the Boosted 2 Dual+. Bringing yourself to a gentle stop doesn't require an ultra-delicate touch on the decelerator. You can actually mash the brakes fairly hard without flying off the front of your board, because the motors slow you down in a gradual (but still strong) way. As an added bonus, the board's software can be tuned to suit different users. If you're a beginner, you can limit the board to a top speed of 11 mph and make acceleration/deceleration even more gradual than it usually is.

If you want a bit more speed, but don't want to eat up all your battery power, just put the board in Eco mode; it'll top out at 16 mph but leave you enough oomph to power up moderately-sized hills. And if you're a real ripper, you can kick the board into either Pro or Expert modes both of which will get you up to (or over) 20 miles per hour. Toggling between these modes is as easy as pressing a button on the controller. So that sums up our top electric skateboards of 2019.

We hope you enjoyed. If you did, please leave a like on the video and if you're new here hit that subscribe button. Until next time have a great day. .

Best Electric Boards/Scooters of 2019? | OneWheel vs Boosted vs NineBot

- Today we're comparing a lot of these electric vehicles and I figured I can't do this comparison without a Boosted Board. I mean the that's the classic. So, let's open this thing up and compare it with some of the other e-vehicles we have. What do you call these? E-scooters? E-boards? - Wow this is like the terminator. - That's actually pretty sick. We're so impatient that we just unbox it in the parking lot.

- Risk of serious death or injury. - I already have enough injuries from riding boards, as you guys can probably tell. Samuel's first ride. - It's super fun dude. The only thing that kind of sucks is like, I have to hold this. - Before we get any crazier with this, let's go get ourselves some helmets, cause if you thought an arm injury was bad, then a head injury is like a thousand times worse.

So, little PSA announcement from Potato Jet right there. Check it out, we got some helmets. Safety first. I mean look at some of these animals riding around without helmets. Honestly, this should probably just be good for me to just wear this all the time. - You went and got a new toy today? - I did. - Well you can't do kick flips on this one, so it actually might be okay. (laughs) (engine whistling) - This one goes faster than the OneWheel, so you know. - I'm just going to look at it as another toy for me, not for you. (laughs) It's kind of weird that you need this and you have to lean. - You'll get used to it though, you're going to be like, whoa this is a lot of fun actually. What do you like better the OneWheel or the Boosted Board? (dog barking) You like it? I think this is Kate's favorite.

(dog barking) - I guess we're not thinking about the hospital bills we're getting. Um, is this a bad time to tell you that I'm going to buy Lefty a wheel chair? - Are you really? - Yeah. - A wheel chair? - Wouldn't it be cool if she doesn't. - Lefty's going to get some wheels too? - Yeah. - Woo. It's probably lighter than the OneWheel huh? - Yeah. - Oh yeah, that's like, way more manageable.

Especially for someone, you know, who's smaller like me. It's crazy cause the OneWheel doesn't look like it's that heavy, but it's actually pretty beefy. Yeah, I like it this is cool. - So this one is the Boosted Mini X and this one runs about a thousand bucks. They also have the Boosted Minis, which are a less expensive version, but the mileage on the Boosted Minis are like half of what this is. And also you're not going to get as much power and speed. So I think it just makes sense to go for this Boosted Mini X if you're going to spend that 750, then I would probably just go for that 1000 dollar one and get this thing. This thing's pretty fun. And then there's a larger Boosted Boards, which we don't have here, but they go even faster, like 24 miles per hour, which is honestly, I think that's too fast for my comfort. Like, I would never take it there. - I think it's perfect. - Are you not worried about, like, falling? - No.

- Cause every time Sam and I are, like, concerned. Hey, where's your helmet young sir? Watching him ride that fast freaks me out dude. - Dude. - He's in his mid 40's, if he falls. - His hips are gone. - He's probably dead. - Well have you seen how many times you guys have fallen versus how many times I've fallen? - And then the next most popular one, which I've had for a while, is this OneWheel XR.

This one's actually pretty expensive. It's about 1800 dollars, but it has a pretty big range. It has that one flat tire, so it's pretty good off road and on road. It does have the little brother, which is the Pint, which we're waiting for to come in. We did put in an order for one, but that one has a lot less miles, but it's also supposed to be much more maneuverable. But 950 is a very attractive price point for OneWheel. - Agreed. - This is an electric scooter and we've probably all seen a lot of these, especially if you live in a city. You probably see these scattered all over the place now. But, this is one that Ninebot sent out to me.

I believe they're owned by Segway, we've all heard of them, and this is the KickScooter Max that they're just about to launch on INDIEGOGO. So, if you want to get in on it, I'll leave a link on it down below. They did send this to me for free. This is actually the only thing that was sent to us. All other things we did pay full price for. Now we don't have pricing for this just yet, but maybe by the time you're watching this video if you check the link in the description, you could probably see how much it runs for.

What was really attractive about this, is this claims to go 40 miles. Which you think about that, 40 miles, or I think it's like 65 kilometers. I mean, if that's true, that's insane. So, it has a huge battery in there. So, it actually makes it very practical, cause it's very easy to use and very useful. It's also worth noting that Boosted, the company that makes Boosted Board, just launched one today actually. And that one's supposed to go 25 miles per hour, which is fast, but it doesn't have as much range as this. So, anyways, lets take these three out and see how they do. Look at all these losers pedaling. (evil laughter) - What if they came back and kicked your ass for saying that? - I hope they didn't hear me, I kind of whispered it so they won't hear. When it comes to off road, I think the OneWheel definitely takes the win, because it just glides over hard dirt, also soft dirt, even if it's kind of sandy it's okay.

- And it feels smooth, it's kind of like flying over here like super chill. - The only downside is that you can't really go up super steep hills. Yeah, the front end will just jam into the dirt if you try to go up something kind of steep. Second place has definitely gotta be the scooter. It's actually decent. - You feel it a little bit more than the OneWheel, but it's still pretty smooth. - Except when you get into some of the sandier stuff. If you have to turn the handles at all, then you start to feel it get a little bit squirrely. - The scooter, you're fine on like dirt and maybe like lightly sandy dirt, but definitely not sand. The OneWheel, I've taken it on a beach before and just cruised it along the sand. And it can ride on the beach as long as it's kind of like damp sand or packed down sand, but if it's like fluffy sand then you're just going to sink right in.

The Booster Board I think actually rides okay on hard packed dirt, but as soon as it starts to get a little bit soft or a little bit sandy it's going to dig right in because it has those tiny wheels. I had a hell of a time trying to get the Boosted Board going on this dirt. So, no thank you. (engine whistling) - Oh my god. - Okay that does not work well off road, at all. (laughs) So OneWheel definitely takes the win for off road use. The Ninebot scooter, decent, but not as good. And the long board, I'd probably just stick to smooth pavement.

We should also give an honorable mention to some of those off-road long boards. I think they're made by Evolution. So they're a long board, but with giant tires. So, that would probably be pretty decent in a place like that. That would actually be really fun, but we don't have one. So. - Yet. (laughs) - Like literally, this is the first time I've seen another OneWheel cruising around. - I have seen you and I was like I know those lads. Taylor, dude, good to meet you man. - Taylor, hey nice meeting you too. - I couldn't resist, I'm a boarder at heart, you know. - Yeah, yeah. - Getting a little too old, but hey. Yeah, my insurance rates are horrible, so I got rid of the car and got one of these and. - Oh really? You sold your car for that? - Yeah. - That's awesome dude. (laughs) - I came down a like a curb dip, and it threw me off. Man, well I thought I broke my leg.

All this is just burned. - Have you ever tried a Booster board? - No. - You want to try it? - Yeah. - Hey Sam you still want that OneWheel more? - Hell yeah. - Let's just take that OneWheel real quick and we'll just let him keep that boosting, let's go. (laughs) - Take a little getting used to, but, wow. - I don't know, me personally I would still go for the OneWheel. - I know man. Those cracks out there, I was like, don't hit that. - Yeah, exactly. That's like the biggest thing, especially in LA, with all the cracks on the streets. - It's this fault line, man. - When it comes to ease of use, that Ninebot KickScooter Max, easy, piece of cake. Or even if you haven't really ridden much like it before, pretty much seen everyone just pick one up and get on it and get used to it fairly quickly and that's probably why they've become so popular with those companies like Bird or Lime Scooters, where they just leave them out on the streets and you can just scan it and pick one up and go.

The Boosted Board, a little bit thicker, a little bit more getting used to, but if you've ridden skate boards or long boards before, then it's essentially like that except for instead of kicking you just press a button. And finally there's that OneWheel, which is definitely the trickiest of the bunch, but me personally, it's actually easier than I thought it was going to be and it's definitely very nimble and maneuverable. The OneWheel is definitely the hardest, but not nearly as hard as that electric unicycle. So, that's another option out there, which I don't really recommend to get anymore. I mean, that thing is like impossible to ride. - It just feels like it's going to dump over every second. - Now when it comes to safety, since that electric scooter has a pretty big wheel and it's so easy and intuitive to ride, I think that's the safest of the bunch.

- You just have far more control. You're, you know, you're using hands and legs and your whole body. - Unless you're trying to do it one-handed. So this is the only vehicle that's definitely recommended to be a two-handed vehicle. I can kind of ride it, but is very flobbily, if that's a word. And also, the break is on the left hand, so I can't break right now. So, if I go too fast I'm in trouble. (scooter engine whistling) - Oh my god. (laughs) - I think the Boosted Board and OneWheel, they're both pretty equally as dangerous. It's easy to stop paying attention for a second and then hit a bump or something and have it slip out under you and you're just going to poof.

One huge advantage that Boosted Board has, is the weight of this. This one specifically, I think, is pounds. So, that is the lightest of the bunch, and it's also very easy to carry just right down here and it also doesn't feel very awkward to walk around carrying it, because you obviously can't ride this board everywhere. I love how compact this Mini X is. So, let's say you ride it to a restaurant or something it's not weird to, like, bring it in to the restaurant and just, like, stick this by your seat. The only inconvenient thing about it is that it has that separate remote and I feel like it'd be easy to accidentally forget this at home or charge one but not the other. - The heaviest of the bunch is the Segway Ninebot KickScooter Max and it weighs in at a hefty 41 pounds. Even though it is 40 pounds, it's pretty easy to lift, because the neck folds down, locks into place and it becomes a handle that you can pick up and carry. - I think the fact that you can just fold down the neck, you know, fit into a trunk of a car is a pretty big deal.

Let's say the battery runs out or something and you need to hop in a Uber, then just throw it in any car. Then there's the OneWheel XR, which comes in at 27 pounds. So, I love riding it, but I hate having to pick it up after a security guard yells at me. He's like, get off that thing, you're in a mall! So 27 pounds is definitely is not super fun to hold and also, there're right here, which make it okay, but it's also a little bit cumbersome to kind of carry it around. I also noticed that the grip tape here can kind of shred away at my pants a little bit. Yeah, see you can actually it right there. It's wearing out. And then the Pint comes in at 23 pounds. So, that's actually going to be quite a bit lighter and also with the handle that you can stick on the side of it, I think the Pints going to be a pretty good option.

Okay, so there's also these larger Boosted Boards, which are very popular. Unfortunately, we don't have one here, but my good friend Chris from Texas. You guys probably remember him from some of my other videos, let's give him a call real quick. Beep, beep, Chris Rollins. What is that? What are you doing? Is that, it looks like a potato gun.

Oh, it is a potato gun! - Yeah Potato Jet. (laughs) - That was four Mississippi. (gun fires) Woo! - Whoa. Hey, what just happened? (laughs) If you guys want to see that at 7000 frames per second, go check out Chris's channel. Hey, so quick question. We got a Boosted Mini X yesterday. We decided to pick one up. What is your reason for choosing the Boosted Board over the OneWheel? 'Cause you've tried them both out pretty regularly. - I use my Boosted Board mainly for commuting, which is, I average about six or seven miles for my commute, and the OneWheel you have to constantly be leaning on it, which is cool that it's hands free, that's how it works, but it gets really exhausting and it's not very comfortable. It's not a very comfortable way to ride for a long distance and with the Boosted Board, once you get up to speed you can sort of center yourself up and it's a lot more relaxing and it's a little bit easier on your body to do long really long distances with.

- So you're putting like 14 miles a day on your Boosted Board? - Yeah, yeah, on average. I'm coming up, probably, on 2000 miles on my Boosted Board. - Oh, wow, that's crazy. - So. - I can definitely see that if you're using it as a commuter, you're just trying to get a far distance real fast, a Boosted Board probably makes a lot of sense. You once made a video where you got pulled behind a car and charged your battery, right? How's that work? - Yeah. So the Boosted Board has regenerative breaking. You know, anytime that you're using the break feature, it's giving a little bit more juice back to the battery. So, yeah, I did a video last year where I drained the battery down to zero and then I put a ski rope behind my car and just rode the break for, probably, about six or seven miles to see if it would fully charge it.

And it does. - That's awesome. All the way from dead to full? - Yeah. - Cool, I'll link that video above as well if you guys want to see that. Oh, you know what I really really want, is that electric mountain bike. I mean that is my dream. But they're just so expensive. - I know. - And then I watched your video about the e-bike that you rode and I was like man that looks so cool, cause for me, that seems like the perfect combination, because you get to have a lot of off road capability and you still get exercise.

Like I still want to be able to get exercise when I take him out. So, you're still pedaling, but it assists you with the battery right? - Right. - So then all the sudden traveling much further, much faster and like going up hill on a mountain bike. Like, I mean, I dread that process, but on an e-bike it sounds like it'd be a piece of cake. - Oh it's a breeze. And that was a really great option. It was a lot of fun. For me though, the price point is still way too high. Because they're so expensive. - Yeah, we're basically just dead on battery right now.

It literally just died right there. It's not going anymore. Boosted Board was the first one to die. We went miles with it, but what I love about this Boosted Board is that, even after it's dead, you can still ride it like a regular skateboard. It's a little bit heavy, but the thing is once you get some momentum going, it keeps going, like it doesn't want to slow down. Opposed to if that OneWheel were to die, you would have to pick it up and just carry it. I would have to give it to the OneWheel for the most fun factor. - I agree, it just feels so different once you're riding it. You feel like you're floating almost. - I like the OneWheel, but for me it's the Boosted Board. Growing up riding skateboards and whatever, it's just the most natural transition, plus it's so so fast. - And it's like, when you get a big flat surface, then you can just let it rip. And once you start going so fast on the OneWheel, I start to feel a little bit uncomfortable.

I feel like I'm kinda forcing it. Like I could cruise at 12 to maybe 15 miles per hour pretty comfortable but taking it up to that top speed of 19 miles per hour, like uh, no thanks. When it comes to practicality, I gotta give it to the Ninebot KickScooter Max. Yeah, we could probably get that 40 miles, which is actually insane. Just think about how much distance that is. And I also feel like it's the least likely to put me in the hospital again. (laughs) Yeah, with like Boosted and OneWheel like, every time, I have a little bit of an adrenaline rush. I'm like, I might break another arm. (laughs) So if you're looking for, like, a commuter vehicle, I feel like you would probably want to go with one of the scooters. I mean, this one's pretty awesome. And, again, shout out to Ninebot for sending it out to us.

So they haven't told us the price on it yet, but they do tell us it's going to be pretty competitive. So, that is definitely a good option to look at. Oh, dude, that's a bug, yeah. - Am I close? - No, on the side. I mean, that just goes to show you how fast that Boosted Board is. There's Sam just ripping it and just literally using his teeth as a windshield. - It was so much fun. At first I was, like, meh, I don't know about the Boosted Board, but now I want the Pint this much. And I want the Boosted Board this much. You see how close it is? - Anyways after that 12-mile ride, the Boosted Board, obviously, depleted it's battery. The OneWheel still had a little bit of juice left at 37%, so it still had another third of a battery to go. And the Ninebot KickScooter still had 62%, so it still had a lot of juice left, which is impressive.

Another thing to note is that the scooter and OneWheel also have a little headlight. So, if you're cruising around at night, it's definitely useful. If you're going to ride the Boosted board after dark, you're going to want to have a flashlight with you or something to make sure you don't run over any big rocks. But all of them I think you're going to be happy with. The thing you're going to be most excited about is probably my brand new merch. (laughs) It's actually not ready to be on sale yet, but it's getting close. My closet is just filled with, like, different versions of this shirt now cause I've been testing so many different types out and I'm like, oh I kinda like this one, but I want to change this.

Let's get another one and another one and another one. And also there's like so many different options, in terms of, where to get the shirts from. And I really want them to be like really comfortable and this one's really nice and soft. You can see there's a little potato guy here, but the placement of this guy is a little off. I need to scoot him over like an inch or so. Anyway, so it's almost ready. Time to read some comments from my last video, which is all about the Insta360 One X and some of the super unique angles you can get with it. If you want to see Sam scream for his life, then go check it out.

(laughs) I'm just kidding I'll just play it for you now. (Screaming) Top comments from Michael Short, "You look like the kid from Up." This joke, it's still going. Is it ever going to end? Matt 222 says, "The better question is how many balloons does it take to lift your house up?" We use these 24 inch balloons and it actually only took two of the to lift up the Insta360, but the helium expert lady was like, yeah if you want to just use regular sized balloons you need a ton of them, because of the weight to lift ratio. Matt Lewis says, "I want the Insta360 so I can get the 360 shot of me breaking my arm while doing a kick flip." You guys can totally stop reminding me of my broken arm and my kick flip abilities. Okay, let's try to move past that and think forward. She says, "My grandma just died today and owning this camera is literally the only thing that will make me feel better." See I don't know how to feel about these comments. 'Cause he's just messing with me right? So, haha, but what if he actually did? Then, if I laughed at that I would be the worst guy ever.

So the safe route would be to just go, oh, I'm sorry, my sincere condolences. But then you don't want to be that super gullible guy that just like takes everything so seriously and doesn't know when to take a joke. So, Nash, I'm pretty sure you're joking, but if your grandma did really just die then I'm really sorry. Like, seriously sorry. Let's just end the video here. (upbeat music).

Why the ONEWHEEL is the BEST Electric Board!

Peter's not here today so I got to practice a little bit with us I have now been doing YouTube for about a year and a half a little bit over and one of the best things about this whole YouTube journey so far has been meeting great people of course but then also building these connections with different companies and meeting the people behind those companies for example aperture great lighting company I think every single light in our office is an aperture light and I was already a big fan of aperture before I start eating you too so it's really cool getting to know those people and they actually sent me some more lights I'll show you guys so this is the light that I use usually for all of my YouTube videos it's the 120 D except this one now is the 120 D version too and so far I'm really liking it there's some big differences I don't know how big there's some differences so so for example this is now one piece there used to be two different pieces I really like that it's all part of one it's more powerful it's a stronger light and then also it's easier to tighten now with this little thing just just those little differences make a big difference in the end especially when you use a light every single day it matters Sam 120 d mark - really liking it so far I haven't used it a ton but you've been using it for like a week now and I'm really enjoying it so yeah it's just really nice to meet these different comfort softbox it's really nice to build these relationships with different companies and then we can kind of work together and it's like a mutual benefit thing also Peter got me a knife my very own knife because he gets sometimes annoyed that I I use his knife it's called a squid the squid I feel like it fits for me I like this knife it's a microphone did a pitcher make a new company called dhih dhih dhih dhih dhih dhih am I saying that right well I'll have to check this out an MRAP I think this is the light that you can like literally shoot and it'll it'll survive a gunshot like like actually shooting I like not like video camera shoot like this but actually like shoot with a gun in it it's supposed to survive oh I'll try this later thanks aperture but one of my favorite products that I've ever used in my life is this thing it's the one-wheel but this thing isn't really meant to be written inside so I'm gonna I'm gonna take it outside all right I got a map I just love riding these things around the one-wheel is just so much fun but it's also a nice like filmmaking tool it's a good way to to get from scene to scene without me just like walking from place to place it's kind of it's kind of a more fun way to get from one location or one thing to the next but I wasn't always a fan of the one wheel I remember first seeing it in Casey Neistat video and I just just thought it was kind of dumb like it looks stupid it didn't look like that fun I don't know it didn't seem that cool and even when Peter got one like a year ago or whatever I tried it and still I wasn't really so light I still didn't think it was that great it wasn't until I actually wrote it around for more than a few times I really started to understand why the one wheel is so much fun and every single time I write it I just like it more and more and more and more and it's not just the fun factor it's also good for for filmmaking not just for the transitioning between scenes but but also as a kind of a stabilizer which we can talk about it a little bit more later on in this video and a little bit of background for me I was never really that into skateboarding or anything like that but I did like snowboarding and surfing a little bit we don't have ocean here so I don't get to surf that often but I really like snowboarding and this thing the one wheel is the closest thing to snowboarding on dry land that I've ever tried and I've tried some different contraptions and this one's definitely the closest to that and before I talk about why I like this thing so much I'll actually show you guys how it works because I don't know if you guys actually know how it works and how how simple it is in the end all right so yeah this is a one wheel it's because it has one big wheel it's kind of obvious why it's called a one wheel car back to the one wheel so we have a big wheel here there's a motor inside that so it's an electric kind of like skateboard thing it's not really an electric skateboard but it's an electric skateboard or a lector board at least and then the back pad is is whatever you just put your back foot there and then the front pad has like this little pressure-sensitive thing and you have to put even pressure with your foot on the front and back between this line kind of thing even pressure and then when you put it to horizontal it engages it's basically like standing on normal ground there's there's nothing to it except when you start leaning it starts moving forwards if you lean back it slows down or starts moving backwards and that's how the one wheel works so I I'll demonstrate now so here's the demonstration back foot on there front foot even pressure get to horizontal and then we're good to go and it's literally that easy it's super easy to ride once you get the hang of it it takes a little bit kind of get used to it the biggest thing I've noticed is that new people people that are new to the the one wheel sorry for the wind the people who are new to the one wheel they try to balance themselves and so they're they're kind of shaking it back and forth cuz cuz they think they need to balance the one wheel but you don't need to do anything you just let it do its thing let it balance you you just lean forwards chill relax and just ride enjoy it let me tell you the big reasons why I like the one-wheel so much so much the first off is that it's quiet it doesn't make it almost makes zero sound as a little bit of a sound if you listen carefully but almost zero sound compared to something like the Busan board which has the belt system which is much louder and it has a second and you're riding around and people are looking at you I don't it just you know it disrupts other people and disrupts your riding experience the one wheel that you don't really notice it because it's so quiet and then number two is this reason no controller I don't need a controller for it to go anywhere I can just lean my hands are free that's a film maker that's a really handy thing because then I can have two hands on a camera or gimbal or whatever it is I don't need a controller to be controlling going forwards or backwards or braking or any of that I just tell it what to do with with my legs and that leads me to number three which is it's like an extension of your body it literally feels like you have a wheel for your legs instead of your legs it's so intuitive it's like the most intuitive thing ever once you start riding it for a bit it does take a little bit time to kind of connect your brain and the one wheels brain and you know you it takes a little bit of time but once you got that it's so intuitive I love it and then number four I've talked about this before it's just so agile it can turn like on a dime and just such a small radius let me show you guys little turns here in the tiniest space I would never ever be able to do that on a boosted board or other Electric skateboards they don't turn as well the one wheel is super agile I can do little donuts all day long it's just really fun because you can go exactly where you want to go and it doesn't feel like the board is taking you wherever it wants to take you and number five kind of going along with that is that it's it can go anywhere it can ride on grass it can ride on ash ball it can write it bumpy roads gravel anything for you I've even gone on sand with it you can pretty much do anything whereas again other Electric skateboards can only really do smooth asphalt type ground and so that's a big limitation one wheel just take it wherever you want and then the last big reason you guys know it's just a lot of fun and it can't really explain that without you being here and trying it that's really the only way to really explain how fun it is especially if you like you know snowboarding surfing anything like that even even a little bit it's so fun and lastly the one-wheel is actually a really cool cinematic tool you get really nice stable kind of gimbal type movement shots really long movement shots without an actual gimbal or stabilized let me show you guys okay this is me walking as smooth as I can going pretty slow right now now I'm running trying to make eat but trying to keep it real smooth and now this is on a one wheel going a slow pace and then we're gonna go a little bit faster no stabilization just the one wheel I'm actually surprised more filmmakers don't use the one wheel especially with something like a gimbal where you want two hands and you don't want to be holding a remote I think the one wheel is is a really underutilized tool in the filmmaking world right now so that's why I like the one wheel so much and this video by the way is not sponsored in any way by one wheel unlike a lot of people think not every video on YouTube is sponsored by some company sometimes it's just really nice to talk about a product that you actually like and promote them just because you like them not because they're paying you money or any of that stuff yeah I honestly just really like one wheel this is not a sponsored video I genuinely just wish that everybody could try the one wheel and and find out how much fun it is also I don't know if you guys noticed we got a new wall peter was busy this weekend he helped out with this wall and wait for it wait for it sometimes it kind of just feels like being a little kid again when you have a place like this it's a lot of fun oh and not just ignore this table for now we just like microphones I'll see you guys in next video see ya
